This is my front cover
For the colour scheme of my magazine I have chosen pale blue, black and red. I think that the colours really contrast and will make my images stand out a lot. The image is going to be a student who is up with the latest styles, studying at Queen Elizabeth, this will persuade the audience the purchase the magazine. I have added selling lines to tell the audience about the information included in the magazine.

Inspirational Text
I like the positioning of how the full-person image is the centre of the page, with her face as the 'G' in the Masthead. I also like how she is wearing contrast colour, being black and white, however the sell lines are in another contrast colour being red which makes them stand out dramatically.
I like how the colours are the same, all being in contrast. The main title is the same font and style as the masthead, making the pages go well together. The page numbers are set so that they stand out with bold font at the beginning of each bullet. The main image is also the same colours, making it also stand out.
I like how Adele's image is a close-up to her face, making the image really bold and grab the readers attention. The stylist has made it so that she is colour co-ordinated, the colour being purple. Due to the Q logo being a bold red, this makes it stand out on every magazine cover. Several of the sell lines are also in red, whilst the other are black and white, again all being contrast colours.
Although this contents page is not the follow-up page to the previous one, you can see that the Q's logo colour, bold red is followed through onto the contents page. I like how this image is centred with the page numbers on the left in a box.

Brief: Print
Preliminary exercise: using DTP and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally you must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate your grasp of DTP.
The front page, contents and double page spread of a new magazine.
A minimum of four images must be used. all images and graphics must be produced by the candidate.
